Liberty celebrates 150 years
Liberty is celebrating 150 years with a variety of projects and products.
Up on the 4th floor they build an installation where you walk through a long corridor with big cut out wooden motifs and randomly hung fabric pieces. It seemed random, with no explanation or names of textile artists. In fact, there was no context at all.
Then there's the Liberty Patchwork House, a huge installation that towers above all floors. Liberty asked the over 1000 people in the creative community to each come up with a patchwork square. It's well worth a visit.
All up until 24 July.
Liberty, in collaboration with RoyalMint, issued a special £5 coin. Here are some images of the story of its design. I ordered mine and it's on the way to me.
